This show is just piggybacking off of the iconic character when they should have made this a separate thing. This Ratched is a selfish, manipulative murderer who will do anything she can to get to the top.
That Ratched was a realistic, doing things by the book, villain who can easily defend her actions. I was pretty upset that they created a backstory to Nurse Ratched that really wasn't anything like the Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over. I cringed so much watching this show, you'd think I was sucking on a diaper. but like a moth headed for the flames I had to turn it back on just to finish the train wreck of acting and writing that this show is. It seemed like it was mostly just filler due to the lack of an actual descent story.Īround the fourth episode it was so bad i turned it off because i was mad at myself for wasting my time watching it.

At multiple points throughout the series i found myself wondering what was the point of 5 minute + scenes of side character mental patient's screaming when it did nothing at all for the plot. The revolving door of mental patient's and their stories are poorly written and just cringy acting all around. The social interactions in which she tries to take control of people or situations is completely ludicrous, especially for a woman in the 50's. Mildred ratchets character can't be pinned down, it's like watching someone with multiple personalities do meth.ĮVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING just magically seems to go her way.
